NatWest & RBS release Blackberry banking app

RBS and Natwest have recently launched a Blackberry smart phone app, providing their customers with another means of connecting to thier banking services.  This app builds on the success of their iPhone and iPad apps released earlier this year and keeps them ahead of the competition as many banks are still to enter properly into the mobile app market.

The transition to mobile banking is continuing to evolve, driven mainly by the increase in smart phone usage but also by an increasing population of users who demand to manage their lives whilst on the move.

These new Blackberry apps take a step in the right direction and will provide customers the ability to keep track of their bank accounts and utilise other services right from their phone.  These features include the ability to:

  • View account information
  • Check balances
  • View the last 6 transactions
  • Manage & receive SMS text message alerts
  • Top up prepaid mobile account
  • Locate your nearest ATM

Satyendra Chelvendra, Managing Director, Consumer Distribution commented:

“We know that our apps are making everyday banking that little bit more helpful and convenient. We’ve been working hard to provide the most advanced banking apps for our customers, so we’re thrilled that we can the lead the way once more as we launch one of the first mobile banking apps for the BlackBerry”

You can now download these apps through the Blackberry App World –
