LloydsTSB named “Best Online Banking Provider 2011”

Finance is a major part of everyone’s life and yet we are not normally given the chance to tell the providers what we seriously think about their products and service.  The Consumer Moneyfacts Awards provide this opportunity for customers, by getting feedback and ratings through a survey.

Moneyfacts has researched the market, assessing each provider and products on technical merit. This forms the basis of their shortlists of up to eight providers per category. Pooling Moneyfacts expertise and reputation with feedback from their consumer survey will provide the true picture of public feeling towards the companies and products that service the consumer finance market. The winners of these awards will importantly prove that they combine technical merit with service excellence.

The consumer survey ran from October through November 2010 in partnership with AOL/Wallet Pop and MyMoney24 (Archant regional media network). The survey requested that respondents rate each provider that they had done business with in the preceding 12 months. Taking an average score for each provider Moneyfacts will ensure fairness across responses from different sized organisations. Many organisations encouraged their customers to complete the survey which was also publicised widely on sites such as the Telegraph Online and across social media such as Twitter

  5. Nationwide
  6. NatWest/RBS
  7. Santander
  8. The Co-operative Bank

LloydsTSB took the coveted title of Best Online Banking PRovider for 2011 with HSBC in second with ‘Highly Commended’, and Barclays third with ‘Commended’

As at Jan 2011, LloydsTSB have 4.1million customers registered with their online service, and have even begun to promote their online banking services as part of their marketing campaigns to attract new customers.
