Halifax Planning Online Banking Security Improvements

Halifax have just announced plans to implement some changes to their online banking login process.

We were hoping that these would include moving away from  keyboard entry, and over to the dropdown menus, as these help combat the issue with key logging fraud.  However, it seems that these changes are just to split the sign-in process into stages rather than one.

The below image we’ve received shows the new 2 step sign on screens.  The first will require your username and password and the second your security question.

We also understand that further improvements are in the pipeline, so we’ll update as and when details of these are released.
